1 owner 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. It is the only year with a urethane front bumper and chrome rear bumpers. The car was ordered and purchased at Bass Chevrolet in Cleveland, Ohio in fall of 1972. The car is equipped with the original L-82 engine and the original Turbo 400 transmission. I put 5000 miles on it the first year of ownership and now 36 years later the car has just over 25,000 original miles. That’s what happens when you buy a car with two seats, serve your country, buy a business, get married, have 4 children, and a number of dogs.

The car has the original Elkhart Green factory paint. The interior is Medium Saddle Tan and is in great condition. The car has not been driven in rain or snow for the past 35 years. I did convert the brakes to stainless steel sleeved calipers a number of years ago. 20 years ago I had a B&M street blower professionally installed as well as a set of headers and a shift kit. I retained the stock hood, intake manifold, quadrajet carburetor, exhaust headers, which are all part of the sale. The car has the optional L-82 engine, turbo 400 transmission, leather interior, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, factory am-fm stereo. The factory T-top protection bags are in the car. The factory jack and spare tire have never been used. Outside of changes to the engine (none to the short block or cylinder heads) the car is just like the day it was delivered. It has never been involved in an accident. All gauges work correctly including the clock which was changed over to a quartz movement years ago.

The car runs and drives like new. It can be driven anywhere. It’s very quick in it’s current state. It runs perfectly on 93 octane pump gas. I have yet to see another C-3 Corvette in this condition. You can’t go to a gas station or drive down a street without attracting attention. The car has won numerous awards over the years. It is not a trailer queen, it’s meant to be driven and enjoyed. The photographs speak well of the condition this Corvette is in. Cars like this are not offered very often. This is a piece of history in excellent condition this car can no longer be duplicated. It is very fairly priced but won’t be given away. It is an investment that can be driven and still appreciate in value.

I have the original sales order from Bass Chevrolet, I have the build sheet from under the passenger’s seat, I have the owner’s manual and warranty booklet.
