convertible to t-top
hey.. it's still running
This Vette started life as a factory 1969 Rag Top with a 4-speed transmission. Sometime in it's life, the convertible body was unbolted and replaced with an early 1970s T-Top body. I am not sure why this was done, but there is no evidence of collision damage that I can find. I have a clear title and the VIN on the windshield post matches the title. It also stated life equipped with a 350 C.I. - 350 HP engine but now sports a Big Block 396 C.I. engine.
Overall, the car is in fair condition. It has power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, and power window. It runs good with no smoke or funny engine noises. Brakes also work, but the clutch is slipping badly. The frame is solid and there is no evidence of any accident damage. The front windshield has a crack, and the paint is flaking in some spots. The tires show normal, even across the tread wear. It has been sitting in dry storage since 2002.
This car would make an excellent custom/ modified project, or if your rare Vette convertible that needs a new frame and chasis. OR you could clean it up, change the clutch and a few other things, and drive it as-is.
Please note that this Vette is being offered without a warrantee and is sold in "as-is" condition. A 10 percent nonrefundable deposit is due within 3 days after the auction has ended and the balance is due within 10 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the new owner, but I will help in anyway I can from this end. All inquiries are welcome and the car is available for inspection prior to the conclusion of the auction. However, once the auction is over, the high bidder will be contractually obligated to purchase the car. Becoming the high bidder is not an invitation to inspect the car after the auction is over and deciding then if you want it or not. Sorry to have to say this but there are way too many tire kickers and want-to-be vette owners out there.
