1974 Eckler Project

1974 Heckler Corvette Wagon

Winning bid: US $3,500.00

42,034 original miles. I have the previous paper work that shows 14,459 miles in 1987. If I understand correctly, there is only a handfull of these in existance today.

I bought this a few years ago with the plans to restore it to show condition. But along with my other muscle cars, it has been sitting waiting for me. I now have bills to pay and need to sell a few things to cover them.

I started removing the paint and carpet but that is as far as I got. It has the 160 mph speedo and 7,000 rpm working tac. All the guages are working except for the clock.

The vette was last tagged for 2004, but when I bought it in 2004 I drove it a few miles then parked it. I started it up today, and it idles and revs, sounding pretty good but when I put in gear the car will move a couple of feet then it dies. I noted that the center squirter is not pumping fuel (Holley Carb) so there may be some gum from sitting. I had to drip fuel into the carb to get it started.

It currently has a high performance 327 engine that I was told was well built including a Pete Jackson gear drive, which I can hear slightly. It has headers and dual exhaust, mechanical tach drive distributor, but other than that I do not know what all was done to it.

I do have the original numbers matching 350 ci block that goes with the car. I also have the air conditioning compressor which is not on the car. All the other AC parts are in place, and the fan works smooth and quite. Wipers work.

It has a Turbo 400 trans, American Racing wheels, some of the tires leak down after a while, and I would replace them anyway before I drove it. I would also plan on new seats, carpet, and misc interior parts, although the dash looks pretty good, and the glass looks good.

Note the solid nose front end, and the tall cowl hood.

The rear wheels sit vertical as they should. It has the T tops, Gas filler is behind the license plate.

This is an older vehicle that has low miles, but it is still going to require labor to and some repair to bring it up to nice condition. I would plan on checking things out before I put it on the road.

The reserve is $3500, which is a very very low price, but I need the cash so if that is all it brings then someone will be floating in the clouds.

I have told all I know, and I always treat people like I want to be treated. The vette is sold As-Is because I am not a dealer, and dont know any more about the car.

I accept Paypal, or Cash in person. I need a deposit of $250 via Paypal, and the car can leave when either I have the cash or Paypal clears my bank.

I am located in Seligman AZ. near I-40 with easy access. I will help you load on your trailer if need be.

Some one is going to get an awesome ride, even if you have to pay some one to finish the car, it will be worth far more than it will take to buy it and have any work done to complete the restoration.

Good Luck Bidding!
