This Mako Corvette was supposedly built when car was new or near new. I honestly don't know who built it, but it is different than others i've seen. It doesn't have a tilt nose and it has a nose i haven't seen before. One reason people jump to Motion as the builder is the plaque on console: "73 MAKO 454 CUBIC INCHES 11.00:1 COMP RATIO".

According to the last owner of two years, he bought the car from a car lot where it had been stored for 10+ years. So it's the first time in 12+ years the car has been up and running. This car is truely a blast from the past that deserves to be finished. Solid frame and good body.

Car currently has a 1973 454 but not the original motor with new Comp Cams 280* cam, lifters. Runs and sounds excellent with chrome headers and side pipes.

Has new aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. Original transmission [according to last owner] has been rebuilt and has a small stall converter [2500rpm]. New brake pads and rebuilt calipers front and rear. Like new ARE wheels. There are many receipts from myself and previous owner.

Dash gauges don't work, haven't checked why. The headlights aren't mounted, they are just placed in nose for picture. Hood latches are off car but included, needs hood release cable. Car runs, drives, stops well, no smoke or strange noises. It needs to be on battery charger to start, again i haven't checked why. All the hard work has been done. Easy to finish original big block custom Corvette.

Again this is a factory z-code 454 Corvette with Mako conversion - builder unknown. Ask any question you may have before bidding.
