1982 Project Corvette
Up for bid is my 1982 Corvette. This is a project car. It does not run at the moment. The car will need to be trailered. I bought the car several years ago as a project, and I did the engine work, but do not have time to finish the car. The car has the original motor rebuilt. The block, crank and heads have all been machined, with new pistons, rods and cam. The motor is installed, but never started. I do not have the original cross-fire fuel injection. I have a rebuilt Rochester quadrajet installed. I do have a tuned port injection setup from a Camaro that would fit that I would sell for an additional $50, to the buyer of the Corvette. To get the car running, the last two bolts connecting the flex plate to the torque converter need to be installed. The ignition system needs to be converted to handle the carb setup. The auto transmission is stock, and is reported to be good. The A\C system needs to be installed. Brakes need to be gone over. Power steering should be good. The driver door glass needs to be installed. The windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. Needs a battery. The body is in overall good shape, but needs to be repainted. The only bad place is a bump on the front nose that you can see in the pictures. The tires are new. New wheels centers and lug nuts come with the car. The front and rear urethane bumpers are complete, but I would replace them before paint. The dual exhaust consists of old glass-pack mufflers, so it will be loud when finally started. The interior needs work. The carpet is intact, but will need cleaning or replacement. The seats are in fairly good shape. I have a newer center console cover. I have a replacement form fitting plastic dash cover that will come with the car. This will make a satisfying project for someone who loves these cars. I would keep this one, but I have a running 1979 Corvette, and I need the garage space.
