Vehicle Description

"1974 was the last year that the Corvette was offered with the Big Block engine. The Corvette had been under 'attack' from some-time due to rising emissions and insurance standards. So Chevy finally stopped offering the 454-cubic-inch engine and also removed the dual exhausts from the small block. The exhaust was collected into a single catalytic converter from which it would then split into two twin mufflers and tailpipes. Unleaded fuel was introduced by Petroleum refineries and General Motors was forced to re-engineer their vehicles to run on the lower octane."

If you're looking to purchase a collector car that won't draw attention, you may want to skip this one! If however, you are looking for something that is one of a kind and no one else has, then please read on! This is a nice custom example of the last big block Corvette! Please let all the pictures load (there are over 70) to see the excellent condition of this Classic Chevy. We don't know the complete history of this car, this is what we do know. The current owner purchased this car from an auto museum in Wisconsin some years ago. He has been been told (by more than one person) that this car was featured in Hot Rod magazine sometime in the early '80s, although we have not been able to locate the article. The car was done sometime in the '70s, with the Greenwood body kit, custom interior and Progressive custom wheels with modern Dunlop Qualifier GT radials. P-265/50R15 front and P-295/50R15 rear. The engine is the original 454 that came with the car when new and has had some upgrades. Nicely optioned with the following features;

Power Steering

Power Brakes

Power Windows

AM/FM Stereo with C/D Player

Air Conditioning

Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel

The car rides, drives and sounds awesome and is ready for a new owner! We have a new set of chrome valve covers that will be included in the sale.

Please remember that this car is 35 years old and not perfect. The clock, horn, heat, A/C and passenger side door are inoperable, and the interior does show some wear.
