1972 home grown Mako Corvette
here's the ebay auction description:

1972  Chevrolet : Corvette  Mako Shark

Item number: 220139697996

You are bidding on probably the most exceptional version of a 1972 Corvette Mako Shark conversion I have ever seen. The person I bought it from spared nothing in creating this car. Nearly everything has been meticulously replaced with new components. As was explained to me, the Mako front end was one of G.M.'s original prototype units built for the auto shows in the late 60's. It was installed on this car by someone who obviously knew what they were doing. The suspension on this car is composite leaf springs front and rear. The paint on the car is a beautiful shark blue blending to a white underbody (belly). The frame is spotless. The seats are black leather. The car has the exterior door handles shaved and has electronic door openers installed. It also has a motion sensor alarm system that you can't even put your hand in the car without setting it off. The Alpine stereo sound system is fantastic and powerful with an additional 5 disc changer in rear storage compartment. The side exhaust lets people know you are coming down the street! If I was going to keep this car, I would install the original steering wheel and ignition switch (both come with the car). Also I have and intended to replace the small block 350 crate engine with a built 427 with tri-power (could come with car at an additional expense). Also please ignore the paper scraps on the floor in the interior pictures, I can't believe I didn't pick them up before the pictures were taken.

If you are looking for an original Corvette, don't look at this one! If you are looking for a Corvette that draws non-stop attention like you can't believe where ever it goes this could be the one for you. Please serious buyers only. If you are interested, I might suggest you come to California and inspect this car before you bid, you won't be sorry you did. I am not giving this car away, so good luck bidding.
